TPL FVG ensures summer connections by motor ship between the most important seaside resorts in the region, in addition to the Trieste - Muggia line active all year round.
A different, pleasant and relaxing way to get around to reach the beaches or to visit fascinating places while enjoying the sun and the coastal scenery.
It is the only motorship route active all year round with numerous connections throughout the day. The journey lasts 30 minutes.

The new maritime line between Muggia and Boa/Aquarium beach is active from July 19 to September 17, 2023.
The summer seasonal connection provides 5 daily departures from each landing.

It is the summer seasonal service that connects the most important tourist centers of the Gulf of Trieste with the city. The service starts from the docks of Trieste and Sistiana, with intermediate stops at Barcola and Grignano.

The new Aquileia - Grado maritime line makes it possible to navigate in the Grado Lagoon and comfortably reach the beaches of the Isola del Sole, to discover the Alpe Adria Radweg cycle route, the cycle routes of the Coast by bike + boat and to visit the UNESCO site of Aquileia with its archaeological area, from the Roman forum to the patriarchal basilica.

The service connects Marano Lagunare to Lignano Sabbiadoro via motor ship during the summer from June to September and is integrated with the suburban services and with the urban one of Lignano. The pleasant crossing lasts about 40 minutes.
The motor ship Rosa dei Venti is equipped with an external bike rack with a maximum capacity of 10 bicycles, to allow cycling enthusiasts coming from the inland to reach the coast and continue along the bike paths of Lignano and, with the X River boat pass, arrive at Bibione.
For security reasons, the transportation of bicycles on board the ferry is allowed within the limits of available space and at the discretion of the captain and subject to limitations.

X River - Across the river Tagliamento is the boat crossing that connects the towns of Lignano Sabbiadoro and Bibione by crossing the Tagliamento river.
In Lignano, the boarding is located in the Marina Uno tourist port at the mouth of the river; on the opposite bank, it lands on the cycle path that leads in a few minutes to the Bibione Lighthouse.
You can also board with your bicycle and reach the other side in 5 minutes while you can enjoy the view of the estuary, the sea opening up to the horizon, and the particular river vegetation.
The ferry can carry up to 25 people with bicycles, with departures every 40 minutes.
The service may vary or be suspended depending on weather conditions.

On the TPL FVG motor ships, you can travel with your bicycle (no more than one bike per passenger) subject to available space and at the discretion of the captain.
We therefore advise you to inquire in advance about the availability of the service, especially during peak hours and on weekends.
To transport your bicycle, you must purchase a specific ticket.
On board with children
- Children and young people under the age of 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.
- The preschool-aged children must be held in arms and must be supervised for the entire duration of the journey.
- On the motor ships, children under the age of 10 (not yet reached) travel for free as long as they are accompanied by a family member with a valid travel ticket.
Family members are considered to be: natural parents, foster parents, and second-degree relatives (grandparents, brothers and sisters, as long as they have reached the age of fourteen). Upon request from the onboard staff or Tpl Fvg inspectors, the age of minors must be certified with a valid identification document. - Wheelchairs and strollers for children travel for free: when allowed on board, they must be folded and must be placed, as directed by the commander, where they do not obstruct the movement of people and do not compromise the safety of passengers and navigation.
People with disabilities or reduced mobility
- The transportation of people with disabilities or reduced mobility is only allowed with prior authorization from the commander who expresses this after evaluating the general conditions of the trip.
- Wheelchairs for people with disabilities and orthopedic aids travel for free.
- Wheelchairs and orthopedic aids must be positioned according to the commander's instructions and must never obstruct the movement of people or compromise the safety of passengers and navigation.
Luggage Transport
You can transport 1 piece of luggage for free as long as its largest dimension does not exceed 70 cm and the sum of its two smaller dimensions does not exceed 85 cm. For luggage of larger dimensions, a ticket must be purchased at a price equivalent to that for bicycles.
