GO!2025: Three New (Borderless) Bus Routes Celebrate the European Capital of Culture – Travel by Bus Between Nova Gorica, Gorizia, and Trieste Airport

Borderless! As part of GO!2025, European Capital of Culture, the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, together with Tpl Fvg and Apt Gorizia, in collaboration with Nomago and the Slovenian Ministry of Environment, Climate, and Energy, is promoting and supporting three new cross-border bus connections between Gorizia and Nova Gorica.

Starting from Saturday, February 8, the inaugural date of GO!2025, the three routes are structured as follows:

• Urban cross-border route GORIZIA – NOVA GORICA, operated by Tpl Fvg (through Apt Gorizia)
• Urban cross-border route GORIZIA – NOVA GORICA – SOLKAN – ŠEMPETER – GORIZIA, operated by Nomago (active from February 9)
• Suburban cross-border route NOVA GORICA – GORIZIA – TRIESTE AIRPORT, operated by Tpl Fvg (through Apt Gorizia)

Urban Cross-Border Route Gorizia – Nova Gorica, Operated by Tpl Fvg > LINEA INT

• Operates daily, from Monday to Sunday.
• First departure from the intermodal passenger center (railway station / train station / železniška postaja) in GORIZIA at 7:30 AM; subsequent departures every 30 minutes until 8:30 PM.
• First departure from NOVA GORICA (avtobusna postaja / bus station / autostazione) at 7:30 AM; subsequent departures every 30 minutes until 9:00 PM.

• Day ticket: €3.40 (valid on both urban cross-border routes and all urban routes in Gorizia until 1:00 AM the day after validation)
• Children under 10 travel for free when accompanied by a family member with a valid ticket.

• Tpl Fvg ticket offices and authorized resellers (the ticket offices in Piazzale Martiri della Libertà, inside Gorizia railway station, and at Trieste Airport are open daily from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM).

• Nomago ticket office at Nova Gorica bus station (day ticket only)
• On board the bus (contactless payment via credit or debit card)

Urban Cross-Border Route Gorizia – Nova Gorica – Solkan – Šempeter – Gorizia, Operated by Nomago > LINEA ML

• Operates daily, from Monday to Sunday.
• First departure from the intermodal passenger center (railway station / train station / železniška postaja) in GORIZIA at 8:15 AM; subsequent departures every 30 minutes until 11:45 AM and from 1:15 PM to 4:45 PM.

• Operates on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
• 10 daily departures from each terminus.
• First departure from Trieste Airport at 8:32 AM, last departure at 7:32 PM.
• First departure from Nova Gorica at 7:48 AM, last departure at 6:48 PM.
