Trieste Tram Tour
The travel
The special ride on the historic tram that takes passengers between Trieste and Opicina, along a route to be enjoyed both uphill and downhill.
A different kind of travel experience, designed to let you discover the history, landscape, and identity of one of the city’s most beloved symbols.

Trieste Tram Tour rides
Unlike the standard local public transport services of the Opicina Tram, the Trieste Tram Tour is a dedicated experience that includes services transforming the ride into a special moment to enjoy and remember.
The rides take place exclusively on Saturdays and Sundays and last approximately 20 minutes. The route runs continuously, without intermediate stops, departing from the tram terminals in piazza Dalmazia (Trieste) and Opicina.
On these two days, one out of every three rides is dedicated to the Trieste Tram Tour, while the others operate as regular line 2 of Trieste’s urban transport service.
Trams running the special rides are marked with distinctive graphics showing the “Trieste Tram Tour” logo clearly visible on the side.
